Though he grew up in a family that regularly made outdoor excursions, it wasn’t until he went to Rensselaer Ploytechnic Institute to study Environmental Engineering that he began playing an activist role in the conservation movement, and he hasn’t slowed since then. Some of the organizations for whom he has provided expertise and guidance include The Wilderness Society, The Sierra Club, The League of Conservation Voters, Natural Resource Defense Council and Greenpeace, USA.

When he is not working to protect the environment, Matty likes to get out and enjoy it. His favorite activities are hiking, camping and passing on an appreciation of and respect for nature to his 8 year old (and his 1 year old Belgian Malinois).

Christy also has a strong background in non-profit compliance, filing tens of millions of dollars worth of campaign activity with the FEC in 2012. Christy is excited to broaden her messaging skills and to help power more homes than ever before with clean power.
